She is most well-known for her role as Jen Scotts in Power Rangers Time Force as Jen Scotts, Ted Mosbys Sister Heather in How I Met Your Mother and Kendra Burke n Saving Grace. Cahill was a Virginia native. As a young girl, Cahill began to perform in the performances at the local high school. After eight years of singing and performing classes, she was named Miss Preteen Virginia. Miss Pre-Teen Virginia was her title in 1991. She also placed in the top spot as Miss Junior America's very first second place. Her acting continued throughout her time in high school as a student at Brooke Point High School where she was president of many clubs such as that of the Honor Thespians group. As a junior Cahill was the only student of her year to garner flawless scores throughout the entire process of her audition to the Governors School for the Arts for drama. She also won Best Overall Actor at the Actors Models Talent for Christ competition when she was just aged 16. She also won individual and corporate awards for being selected in the Barton and Williams Dance Company. Following her graduation from high school in 1998, she studied at Marymount Manhattan College (New York) as a performer and academic arts grant. At age 19, she quit school in order to take on an acting job for full-time in Los Angeles.
