Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American performer, actress, and songwriter for many years. In her early years, Sara was racially taunted by many people in America. After entering a ninth-grade school audition in which she was praised for her voice and acoustics, she began to gain confidence. It not only increased her confidence but her dreams changed. When she was 22, she received her degree from at the Julliard School of New York. When she was 23, she began her career making her first appearance on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. However her greatest breakthrough came when she appeared in the role in the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway show Spamalot garnering not only an award called the Tony Award for her performance but also great critical acclaim. The following year, she was cast in the ABC show Grey's Anatomy as Dr. Callie Torres and gained wider recognition for it. As a well-known singer, she also released a single and an extended version of her play. In addition, she is an LGBT activist.
